SCGA CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION INFORMATION

 

21st SCGA FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIP:

Spanish Hills Club, Camarillo

March 6-7, 2023

FORMAT:

  • 36 holes; foursomes stroke play (i.e. alternate shot).
  • Two-person teams will represent each side.
  • In foursome stroke play, partners play one ball. The partners play alternately from the teeing grounds and alternately during the play of each hole. Each round the team will select which player will tee off on the odd-numbered holes and the other player will tee off on the even-numbered holes.  
  • Participants may sign up for either the Open Division or Senior Division (if eligible).

 

Monday, March 6: Round 1 (18 holes)

Tuesday, March 7: Round 2 (18 holes)

 

OPEN DIVISION ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to two-person teams with both players being amateurs who are members of a current SCGA member club (not necessarily the same club) with a Handicap Index of 7.4 or less at the time of registration.

 

SENIOR DIVISION ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to two-person teams with both players being amateurs who are members of a current SCGA member club (not necessarily the same club) with a Handicap Index of 7.4 or less at the time of registration. Both partners must have reached their 55th birthday as of March 6, 2023.

 

ENTRIES OPEN: Wednesday, January 11, 2023

 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, February 19, 2023

 

CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed and posted on scga.org/foursomes & scga.org/seniorfoursomes after entries close.

 

ENTRY FEE: $390 per team

 

LATE ENTRIES: The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming space is still available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and will only be accepted over the phone or through email.

 

SUBSTITUTIONS: For team competitions, or any other competition for which players are submitted on behalf of a club, the SCGA allows substitutions to be made up to two business days prior to the competition. If a substitution request is made less than two business days prior to the competition, the SCGA cannot guarantee that the substitution will be granted. For team competitions that utilize qualifiers, once a player or team has gone through the qualifying process, no substitutions may be made for the championship proper.   

 

REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
